The Margaret River Montessori School has a thriving P & F Association that aims to assist the school through various functions. The P & F aims to provide opportunities for social interaction, for students, parents and staff, to forge a strong sense of community within the school. These opportunities range from school busy bees (held the first Sunday of each school term) to fund raising events, for example the annual “Cow Pat Lotto” and fete’s held every second year to more low key events such as cake stalls and fashion folly nights. By working together to better our school not only do we foster harmony and a sense of pride, but we are active role models for our children.
The P & F also assists with general parent education in childhood development and education at the pre-school and primary level with regard to the Montessori method of education. The school has a wonderful Parent Reference Library, to which the P & F often contributes to.
The P & F also offer scholarships as a way of reducing fees. Currently scholarships are offered for the following:
Library (2 positions)
Parent Commitment Co-ordinator
The P & F also cooperates with the Committee of Management in matters of mutual concern and school benefit.
The P & F Association hold its AGM each April, at which point new representatives are appointed.
