The School Council sets fees at the start of each school year based on:
the expected level of State and Commonwealth funding for the year; and
the strategic objectives for the year.
Fees are due and payable in full by the end of the previous term with the exception of Term 1 fees that are due at the beginning of Term 1. Alternatively, arrangements to make regular incremental payments can be undertaken with the School Bursar. Continuation of enrolment cannot be guaranteed unless outstanding fees have been paid by the due date or alternative financial arrangements have been made.
APPLICATION FOR ENROLMENT FEES – Non Refundable
$120 (incl. GST) per child.
Application Fees are payable with the Application Form.
TUITION & OTHER FEES – payable in advance. For our current Fee Schedule please email or phone the front office.
On admission of each child, there is a trial period of four weeks. This allows the child to settle in to the School. Parent observations are to be made during this process. If, following this period, the School decides, in consultation with the parents, that it is in the child’s best interest to be withdrawn, the School will refund the Tuition Fee on a pro-rata basis.
PARENT COMMITMENT HOURS
Parents are expected to contribute towards the maintenance of the school and fundraising activities.
A total commitment of 6 hours per family per term of labour and/or fund raising help to the satisfaction of the P&F Committee is required. If Parent Commitment hours are not completed, a charge of $100 per term ($400 per annum) will be debited to the family account
If families do not wish to undertake Parent Commitment requirements, arrangements can be made to pay PC fees incrementally throughout the year, or an alternative arrangement for your family can be agreed with the School Bursar. A file of PC hours will be kept in the Front Office and each family will be responsible for maintaining their own record of hours on their personal family sheet. Family Commitment situations will be reviewed regularly and those with outstanding balances will be contacted to ascertain their position.
ENROLMENT BOND – Junior Primary Programme
From 1 March 2012, the Enrolment Bond for families is a once off $1500 flat charge on commencement of the first child entering the School’s Junior Primary Programme. It is not charged for subsequent siblings commencing in the same Programme. However, should the Enrolment Bond be increased at the time of entry of other siblings into the Junior Primary Programme, the difference between the $1500 and the increased Bond will be levied. The Enrolment Bond may be used as a contribution to the Year 6 final term’s fee of the youngest family sibling completing their Education at Margaret River Montessori School. Conversely, the Enrolment Bond is non refundable if the children/child leave/s the school before completing Year 6 education at Margaret River Montessori School.
ADDITIONAL FEES – Activities/Excursions
Extra fees will occasionally be due for excursions, activities, events or camps. These fees are payable with a permission notice prior to the advertised deadline.
PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS
The School will issue a Fee Statement to each family four weeks before its due date.
Fees may be paid by:
1) Direct deposit as per account and remittance detail on invoice;
Account: Margaret River Montessori School, Bankwest BSB 306-021; Account Number 0510267; or
2) Credit or debit card at the school office, or by phone; or
3) Cash, or cheque made payable to ‘Margaret River Montessori School’.
A late fee of $30 per four weeks overdue will be incurred on late fees unless financial arrangements have been made with the School Bursar.
