Our Digital Prospectus outlines the structure and available programs at our School. Please click here to view our prospectus for our secondary school. Should you wish to proceed, our enrolment process includes the following steps:
1) Tour - Investigate your schooling options. We encourage all families to visit as many schools as they can when making this choice for their child. We invite you to contact us on montessori@margmont.wa.edu.au or (08) 9757 2564 to book a tour of our facilities and grounds. The group tours run by appointment only on designated Friday's throughout the term. Please provide your name and contact details and we will contact you with regard to making a booking. Please note our Office hours are 8.00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday during school term times. Please see our home page for this year’s term dates.
2) Application for Enrolment Form - To secure a place on our waitlist, please complete the appropriate Application for Enrolment Form for our Primary and Adolescent School. Please note all required documentation pertaining to your child must be submitted and the Application for Enrolment Fee must be paid for your child to be placed onto the waitlist. This form can also be completed earlier in the process. For an Application for Enrolment in our 0-3 Bush Babes Playgroup please complete the following form Bush Babes Playgroup Application Form.
3) Observation (Primary only) - We ask all parents prior to their child's Enrolment Interview to observe in our classrooms so you are making an informed choice. This also provides a time for you to prepare any questions you may have about Montessori prior to the Enrolment Interview.
4) Enrolment Interviews - In the term preceding your child's proposed start time we will invite you and your child to attend one or more interviews with the Principal. We welcome the whole family to attend these interviews. This is a chance for the Principal to meet your child if she has not done so already and get to know everything about them that may contribute to a smooth start at MRMS.
5) Offer of a Place - If following the interview, a place is available for your child, you will receive a Letter of Offer of a Place and a Welcome Pack. This will contain all the information you need to prepare your child for a successful start to their schooling at MRMS.
6) Enrolment Contract and Admission Forms - Both at the Enrolment Interviews and in your Welcome Pack you will receive a number of forms to complete and sign. The Admission Card and Enrolment Contract, Data Collection Form and Student Health Form will need to be fully completed and returned to the office within two weeks of the date of 'Letter of Offer'. This includes reliable emergency contacts who live within a short distance from school and the up-to-date Vaccination Status Certificate (available through Medicare and obtained no longer than two months prior to your child’s start date). You will also be required to pay a Placement Fee. It is upon the payment of the Placement Fee and the return of all completed documents that your child’s place is secure.
Please see our page called Child Development and Transition for more information about the orientation meetings and stages of attendance we offer in relation to your child starting school.
We are here to help. Please do not hesitate to ask for our assistance with regard to any of the above. All forms can be emailed to montessori@margmont.wa.edu.au .
