Our Patch 2025

What an incredible day we had on Friday at the Our Patch celebration at the Margaret River HEART!

This annual event, run by Nature Conservation Margaret River Region, brings together Year 6 students from across the Capes to share their knowledge and creative solutions for protecting our local environment.

This year, more than 200 students from six schools amazed the audience with their science, art, and innovation.

Our Margaret River Montessori School students took a deep dive into the world of pollinators. They explored the threats facing native bees, designed and built bee hotels, planted bee-friendly species, and even created a thriving community bee haven. Their presentations and artwork showcased not only their learning but also their passion for positive change.

A huge thank you to our art teacher, Michaela, for guiding the incredible art projects so beautifully, and to Upper Primary teacher Rosie for her dedication and support. ?

We are so proud of our students - their energy is infectious, and their work reminds us of the power of young voices in conservation. Bring on next year’s adventure! ??
