Join us for an intimate evening with the awe-inspiring and multi award-winning performers, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse supported by The Brothers Thin. In this celebration of life, community and a shared humanity, you’ll be taken on a journey as the duo use their music and performances to highlight one of the most beautiful and rare languages on the planet; the Noongar language of the southern corner of Western Australia.
Gina Williams sings across Noongar and English, mixing traditions with contemporary ideas, to the spirited accompanying guitar of Guy Ghouse. Ancient language, contemporary music, incandescent vocals, story telling and guitar brilliance. Their work proves that love, loss, joy all mean the same things no matter how you say it. These exceptional artists connect one of the world’s oldest languages with our youngest generations, rewrite the script and serve to move towards a hopeful future.
The Brothers Thin, features Tony Lane on violin, mandolin, guitar and vocals, and Dave Seegar on guitar and vocals. They have been described as “the real sound of Margaret River”, with their laid back repertoire of old and new folk songs from America, Britain and Australia.
